Matthew Geer
Matt has worked in the financial industry since 2004. His fourteen years of experience have seasoned him to provide a well-rounded approach to wealth management to his clients.
“I really enjoy helping people. I want to make sure my clients both understand and are comfortable with their financial decisions. Too often I meet with those who have not had their investments explained to them and they are unsure if they are going to meet their goals. It gives me great satisfaction when a client tells me that they now comprehend their investments and know what to expect going forward.
I like to take a holistic approach to wealth management. I want to make sure that all decisions fit into the big picture of a client’s financial well-being. Whether its planning for retirement, a child’s education, or just simply saving for a rainy day, I want to be sure to create a positive effect on all your plans.
My goal is to earn your trust and to be a source of good advice. As a J.R.R. Tolkien fan, I always liked this quote from the Hobbit, ‘It does not do to leave a live dragon out of your calculations, if you live near him.’ Ignoring financial decisions is never a good idea. Let me help you slay your financial dragons.”
Matt grew up outside of Troy, Pennsylvania in Bradford County. He attended the U.S. Coast Guard Academy and served in the military for nine years as a commissioned officer.
After marrying his wife Gretchen, they decided to move back to the area to raise their family. Matt believes in giving back to the local community where he serves as President of the Troy High School Foundation, President of the Troy Town Band and is an active member of the Troy Rotary Club. An avid runner, you can find Matt helping coach the Troy High School Track & Field Team as well as running on the trails at Mt. Pisgah.
